Banaspati Auto Trading Bot User Guide

A complete guide from creating your Binance API Key to the bot running automatically - for both the Spot Bot and the Futures Bot. Follow the steps in order from top to bottom.

1Create an API Key on Binance

An API Key is a "key" that lets the bot open/close positions on your own Binance account - your funds stay in your own Binance account, the bot never holds your funds directly.

Never enable the "Enable Withdrawals" permission when creating your API Key. The bot doesn't need that permission at all - enabling it only adds risk if your API Key is ever leaked.
This step happens on Binance's own site, not on Banaspati - follow the text below directly on your binance.com.
  1. Log in to your Binance account at binance.com.
  2. Click the profile icon in the top-right corner, then choose API Management.
  3. Click Create API then choose System generated.
  4. Give it any name/label, for example Banaspati Futures Bot, then complete the security verification (email/SMS/Authenticator) matching what's enabled on your account.
  5. Once created, copy the API Key and Secret Key somewhere safe (e.g. a password manager). The Secret Key is only shown once - if you close the page before copying it, you'll have to create a new API Key.
  6. Click Edit restrictions then set the following permissions:
    • Enable Reading - must be on
    • Enable Futures - must be on, this is what lets the bot open Futures positions
    • Enable Withdrawals - must stay OFF
  7. Save the changes, and verify again if prompted.
Recommended for beginners: try it first with a Testnet API Key before using real funds. Futures Testnet is a SEPARATE demo account from your real Binance account - sign up and create its API Key at testnet.binancefuture.com.
  1. Log in to your Binance account at binance.com.
  2. Click the profile icon in the top-right corner, then choose API Management.
  3. Click Create API then choose System generated.
  4. Give it any name/label, for example Banaspati Spot Bot, then complete the security verification (email/SMS/Authenticator) matching what's enabled on your account.
  5. Once created, copy the API Key and Secret Key somewhere safe (e.g. a password manager). The Secret Key is only shown once - if you close the page before copying it, you'll have to create a new API Key.
  6. Click Edit restrictions then set the following permissions:
    • Enable Reading - must be on
    • Enable Spot & Margin Trading - must be on, this is what lets the bot buy/sell Spot assets
    • Enable Withdrawals - must stay OFF
  7. Save the changes, and verify again if prompted.

2Make Sure the Product Is Purchased & the Bot Is Active

  1. Don't have a license yet? Pick a plan on the Products page, then complete payment (QRIS).
  2. Once payment is verified, your license is activated and you'll see the bot you purchased appear in the My Bots.
  3. If you've paid but the bot hasn't appeared yet, wait up to 24 hours or contact our support.

3Open the Bot App

  1. From the Banaspati dashboard, open the My Bots menu in the sidebar.
  2. Click the bot you want to open (Spot Bot or Futures Bot) - you'll be taken straight into the bot app without having to log in again, since its session follows your Banaspati login.

4Enter Your API Key & Configure Trading Parameters

Inside the bot app, open the Settings menu.

Binance Mode
  • Mode: choose Testnet (practice, no real funds) or Production (real funds).
  • API Key & Secret Key: paste what you got from Step 1 above - make sure the mode matches (a testnet API Key only works with Testnet mode).
Timeframe

Choose the Signal Timeframe - this determines which timeframe the bot reads signals from to open positions.

Position Sizing
  • Default Leverage: your capital multiplier (1-125x). The higher the leverage, the closer your liquidation distance.
  • Max Concurrent Positions: the maximum number of positions allowed open at the same time.
  • Position Size per Trade (USDT): the notional value per position, ALREADY including leverage - e.g. $100 at 100x leverage means only $1 of margin is actually used.
Risk Management
  • SL/TP Mode: Auto places real SL/TP orders directly on Binance (max 40 positions due to Binance's order limit); Custom is monitored by the app without placing orders on Binance (allows more positions, but comes with NO protection if the app/connection ever goes down).
  • Stop Loss (%) & Take Profit (%) (for Custom mode): enter 0 to mean no target for that one.
Additional Options (fine to skip for now)
  • Reverse on SL Hit: the moment SL is hit, the bot immediately opens a position in the opposite direction.
  • Trailing Stop: SL automatically shifts to follow price movement in your favor.
  • Resize Position: increases the size of an already-open position when a new signal in the same direction comes in.
  • Enabled Symbols: leave empty to allow all symbols, or pick specific ones the bot is allowed to open.
Once everything is filled in, click Save Settings.

Binance Mode
  • API Key & Secret Key: paste what you got from Step 1 above.
Timeframe

Choose the Signal Timeframe - this determines which timeframe the bot reads signals from to buy.

Position Sizing
  • Value per Lot (USDT): the USDT amount spent every time the bot opens one lot (Spot has no leverage).
  • Max Total Lots & Max Lots per Symbol: limits on how many lots can be open at once - one symbol can have several lots at the same time, each with its own entry/TP/SL.
  • Minimum Distance Between Entries (x ATR): a new lot for the same symbol only opens once price has moved at least this many times the ATR from the entry of any still-open lot (forming an entry "ladder"). Enter 0 for no distance requirement.
Risk Management
  • Stop Loss (%): enter 0 for NO SL at all (the lot only closes via TP/SELL signal); leave empty to use the SL from the signal.
  • Take Profit (%): leave empty to use the TP from the signal.
Additional Options (fine to skip for now)
  • Trailing Stop: each lot's SL shifts up following price, only once that lot is in profit.
  • Close profitable lots on SELL signal: Spot can't go short, so SELL signals are ignored by default - enable this if you want lots that are already profitable to close automatically when a SELL signal comes in.
  • Enabled Symbols: leave empty to allow all symbols, or pick specific ones the bot is allowed to open.
Once everything is filled in, click Save Settings.

5Turn On the Bot & Monitor It

  1. Open menu Dashboard in the bot app.
  2. Turn on the switch in the Bot Status card - once active, the bot starts opening positions automatically based on signals and the settings you just saved.
  3. Monitor active positions, Unrealized P&L, and recent signal activity directly from the Dashboard. Full history is available in the Reports menu.

API Key Security Tips

  • Never enable the "Enable Withdrawals" permission on an API Key used by the bot.
  • Never share your API Key and Secret Key with anyone, including anyone claiming to be Banaspati admin/support - we never ask for your Secret Key via chat.
  • Keep your Secret Key somewhere safe (a password manager) - Binance only shows it once, at creation.
  • If you suspect your API Key has leaked, immediately delete/disable it from Binance's API Management page, then create a new one.
